At Sunnyhills we believe it's important to share and celebrate all cultures! On Friday we celebrated Chinese new year!In fact, in Auckland we have about 23% Chinese, making up almost a quarter of our community!
We heard from a couple of learners in the class about what Chinese new year means for them, spoke about how wearing Red can bring good luck and learned how to do the traditional Chinese dragon dance!
Nicole even got a chance to play an instrument on stage! Woohooo
Didn't we all look amazing (especially Mrs Cometti!). The lion's face was really neat with the blinking eyes for expression.
